Our Journey and the Path Ahead

The Donkey Clinic and Education Centre is incredibly grateful for the initial foundational support previously provided by the Donkey Sanctuary UK and Animal Aid Abroad. For the past three years, we have proudly and independently sustained our facility through our tourism income and donations. However, with the Mannar area being home to more than 1,000  wild donkeys, our current resources are stretched thin, and we are missing critical windows to rescue injured animals. 

As we enter our next chapter, we are looking for new partners – whether organisations, charities or private people – to help us expand our facility's reach, protect more Mannar donkeys, and strengthen our community education programs.
